Job Description
Tekla Finance is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Head of Business Development to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.
To be successful as a Head of Business Development, the ideal candidate should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional Head of Business Development should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
The candidate will also possess a strong background in finance and management.
Responsibilities
Develop growth strategies and plans
Prospect, acquire and manage relationships with clients
Increasing client base
Have an in-depth knowledge of financial products and value proposition
Advise the Managing Director on business and market opportunities
Write business proposals
Negotiate with counter-parties
Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
Research viable alternative income streams
Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
Skills and Qualifications
First degree in Business, Finance or Economics
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, 2 of which must be at managerial levels
Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
High-level communication and negotiation skills
Stakeholder management and Conflict Resolution skills
Ability to self-motivate and motivate a team
Experience working to and exceeding targets
Masters/MBA preferred
Fintech Experience preferred
Chartered Project Management Professional Preferred
