Marketing Executive

Overview:

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for promoting the General Foods and Sweets Manufacturing Ltd. Brand and developing strategic action plans to drive measurable and incremental sales revenue for the company.

Responsibilities:
  • The Marketing Officer must have a clear understanding of the business strategies, set goals and determine action plans to achieve set goals. The Marketing Officer must clearly communicate the strategies to employees to ensure everyone understands the role they will be playing in the implementation and execution.
  • S/he has the responsibility for developing and fostering business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, and appointment calls.
  • S/he will deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution. S/he will create advertising, public relations, promotions and social media campaigns.
  • The Marketing Officer will Identify new markets and business opportunities and develop the target customer base.
  • S/he will be responsible for managing the restaurant’s reputation by being abreast of online and website reviews and countering negative posts.
  • Able to provide quick and timely responses to queries as well as develop professional long term business relationships.
  • S/he will target key account potentials for the company.
  • Will Build and develop relationships to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Will be responsible for preparing proposals and negotiating contracts.
Skills Required:
  • Excellent understanding of the Product Mix development
  • Ability to monitor and understand consumer behavior and trends
  • Possess excellent sales and Business development skills
  • Excellent oral and written Communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have Marketing Communications and Social media skills
Education:

BSC/HND from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related discipline

Experience:

3 to 5 years’ experience in Sales and marketing in the Hospitality industry (Compulsory)
